Minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held in the
Balderton Village Centre on Tuesday March 18th 2008 at 10.00am
PRESENT Councillors Sheppard (Chairman), Mrs Jarvis and Mrs Newstead with
the Clerk
APOLOGIES were received from Councillors Colman, Gibson, Mrs Hurst, Mortimore
and Radley.
DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST Cllr Sheppard declared a personal interest to minute
reference 0058 – District Council planning meeting re. 1 Haddon Drive.
0056 Planning Applications
The following planning applications were considered and approved subject to any
comments detailed below:
1825 257 dwellings with parking/garages (phases 5a & 5b) Fernwood
0207 Installation of ATM machine Balderton Post Office
0237 First floor extension with dormer 1 Russell Avenue
0275 Construction of substation for electricity Fernwood Business Park
0057 Planning Decisions
The following planning applications have been refused by the District Council
and were noted:
0033 Extension and conservatory to side/rear 27 Acacia Road
0112 Conversion of existing house to 5 dwellings 14 Barnby Crossing
0058 Correspondence/Information
The following items of information and correspondence have been received and
were noted:
a) Notice of a District Council Planning meeting on Tuesday March 18th 2008 at
4.00pm where application no. 0065 meeting for 1 Haddon Drive is scheduled for
consideration. Cllr Mrs Jarvis hoped to attend the meeting.
b) Draft Methodology consultation of the Strategic Housing Land Availability
Assessment from the District Council. The consultation period ends on April 9th
2008.
