Minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held in
the Council Hall on Tuesday July 26th 2006 at 10.00am

APOLOGIES none were received.
DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST Cllr Allsopp declared a personal interest to minute
reference 0023 - planning application for Cressey Holme Farm.
0023 Planning Applications
The following planning applications were considered and approved subject to any
comments detailed below:
1007 Convert building to residential Former Isolation Hospital, Barnby Lane
1038 Conservatory 38 Dale Way
The following planning application was considered and objected to with the
following comments:
0588 Change of use of land for 10 lorry parking places Cressey Holme Farm
Members considered that the village roads are totally unsuitable for heavy goods
lorries and the area should not be used for a lorry business. Neighbouring
properties will be adversely affected by noise from the site.
0024 Planning Decisions
The following planning applications have received conditional approval and were
noted:
0738 Conservatory 15 Clipsham Close
0793 Alterations & new garage 3 Nelson Road
0856 Two storey extension 15 Cottage Close
The following planning application has been refused and was noted:
0638 proposed development of two houses 50 Bullpit Road
Members requested that a letter be sent to the District Council expressing their
concern about the process of this particular application, particularly relating
to advice given to the applicants regarding re-submission of the application.
0025 Correspondence
Members noted a letter of concern, circulated at the meeting, from a Masefield
Crescent resident regarding objections to a planning application for 43
Masefield Crescent. The application had been previously considered by the
Council and approved. Members reviewed the plans and agreed that they were not
entirely clear in showing that the houses there are linked by single story
‘outhouses’ and a comment of this nature should be submitted to the District
Council.
