D-day Flag of Peace commemorating the 80th Anniversary of D-Day Worldwide.

Balderton Parish Council has flown a flag at Balderton Village Centre to commemorate D-Day 80.

The 6 June 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of Operation Overlord, which saw tens of thousands of soldiers embark from Portsmouth to cross the Channel, establishing a foothold across the French coast in order to begin the advance to liberate northwest Europe.

Members of Balderton Parish Council have paid their respect by attending local events commemorating the anniversary. We are thankful to all those who have served and those who currently serve for our country in the armed forces.
