Something exciting is returning to Balderton this summer!
From next week, The Salvation Army on Mead Way, Balderton, is relaunching Toasties Café – a warm, welcoming space where our community can come together over good food, friendship, and fun.
Their mission is simple: to help support local families during the summer holidays by providing FREE hot toasted sandwiches for every child who visits. With the cost of living continuing to put pressure on many households, they want to make sure children can enjoy a hot lunch in a friendly, safe environment.
Everyone is welcome – whether you have children or not! They'd love to see individuals, couples, friends, neighbours and grandparents come along too. Adults can enjoy a delicious toasted sandwich for a small charge, and they'll also have a selection of other affordable café snacks and drinks available to buy at cost. (Please note that only toasted sandwiches are free for children.)
There'll also be games and activities for children and adults, including pool, toddler soft-play, table tennis, crafts, jigsaws and daily newspapers!
So why not pop in, share a meal, make new friends, or simply enjoy some company? They'd love to welcome you to Toasties Café and make this summer a little brighter for everyone in our community.
